Shop Office Acoustics

It’s common for modern offices to opt for open plan layouts as they are the best way to create collaborative environments with great communication throughout multiple departments. However, office acoustics are easily harmed by the open plan designs and little to no soft furnishings. Without absorbent materials, all the background noise of an office – typing, mouse clicking, kettles boiling, coworkers talking etc… can quickly build up and create an uncomfortable working environment for employees.

With employees spending hours at a time in the office, it’s important to create a workspace that promotes positive health and well being as well as valuable work rates – good office acoustics can help you achieve this.

Fortunately, bad office acoustics can be remedied easily with high-performance acoustic solutions. By installing products such as acoustic wall panels, rafts, screens, and meeting pods, you can better manage office noise levels and make it easier for employees to focus, improving productivity and overall mental well being. Browse our selection of acoustic solutions that have been collated specifically for the control of office acoustics. Frequently Asked Questions

How many acoustic panels do I need?

The number of acoustic panels you need will vary from office to office as it’s dependent on several factors such as room size, ceiling height, panel size, and acoustic requirements. However, a good rule of thumb is to cover at least 30% of hard surfaces with acoustic treatment.

To work out what 30% of wall coverage is for your space all you need to do is multiply the height and width of each wall then add each total together. Once you have a total, multiply that total by 0.3 to get 30%.

Why are office acoustics important?

Having good office acoustics is vital for accommodating both a collaborative space for people to share collaborate on creative ideas as well as a place for employees to achieve maximum concentration. Without the right noise control, offices can become uncomfortable to work in.
